Mother's Day

My first mother's day was wonderful.

Collen got up with Riley in the morning so I could get a little extra sleep, then he made me breakfast. He spent the rest of the day changing diapers, feeding Riley, and entertaining him when he got cranky or bored. It was my 'day off.' It was so nice to be able to decide for myself what to do with my time, and when. Then he made a post on facebook about how much he appreciates what I do even more now that he's spent an entire day doing what I do every day. He helps with Riley a lot, but he's at work most of the day, 5 or more days a week. This was the first time he was with Riley from morning to night.

He felt bad that he couldn't afford to get me a gift, but giving me the day off was the best thing he could have possibly done for me. I was sad that he had to go back to work today.

We took Riley out to see Grandma Leonard and Stephen. They haven't seen him since he was just a couple weeks old. He's gotten so big since then.

He looked so cute in his little green plaid!
